Sometimes when exposed to the chaotic expanse of the Aether dimension, one’s mind may drift from one body to another. Sometimes, even physical forms are altered or combined in strange ways. The strange aliens of the Aether are normally mindless monsters, but their strong physical attributes can offer benefits when combined with a human. To be clear, this is not cross-breeding or genetic modification; This is a dimensional shift in form that merges two creatures semi-randomly, and each merge is often vastly different.

Keepers can use these strange traits as useful tools on the battlefield, giving them incredible abilities and terrifying forms. Only the brave and unlucky end up as Daemonblood, but as rare as they are, one question remains: When you become a monster, how much of your humanity do you lose?
