You are an expendable soldier, a nameless warrior, and to some, simple fodder. You fight wars with no end on behalf of those in power, and you know you’re doomed to the inevitable meat grinder of war. Will you break free of this cycle? Will you literally make a name for yourself and leave your place as nameless fodder? It’s time to stand out, gain a destiny, and break free. What you need to play

• 1-3 Players and a GM, called a Narrator.
• A way to keep notes, such as an app or paper.
• A fistful of four sided dice (D4’s) or a way to emulate them.

Blood Pawns hosts a satirical look at war, entertainment media, and story writing. It’s setting agnostic, working just fine (and with examples) in any setting from your favorite R. R. [REDACTED] style fantasy, to shiny star traveling sci-fi, to gritty-looking war torn history. With narrative-based gameplay, story-driven combat, and in-your-face absurdity about who the “Main Characters” are and how “Plot Armor” works, this game is sure to get a few laughs out of your friends. 

This 6 page rulebook contains dice outcome tables, everything you need to craft your characters, and rules around story and combat scenarios. This is a great TTRPG to blare some music behind, grab a beer, and “Do your part” as you kill things, become famous, and do cool stuff.

This isn’t the kind of game where you do math, or track a million skills on a three page character sheet. All of your relevant notes could fit on an index card (or your notes app) and you’re only tracking three stats all game.
